Meet Wendy
A very short story about me…
I grew up in Upper Peninsula of Michigan, the eighth of eleven children, in a town just big enough to have a library. After graduation I saved $325.00 and took off in a small plane out of a cow pasture for bible college in Oklahoma where I met my husband of 37 years. Together we started a church in the town of Grand Blanc, Michigan where we still pastor and live happily ever after despite the problems and pain life can sometimes throw our way.

“I want to write scenes filled with tender moments that make readers smile and sigh. “
quotes to live by:
If at first you don’t succeed, you’re normal. – Michael Hyatt
A good plan violently executed today is better than a perfect tomorrow.
– General George Patton
God is not looking for perfect people, but for people with perfect hearts toward him. A perfect heart is a surrendered heart.
– Dave Williams
There is a theme here. Don’t wait until things are perfect to pursue your dreams. They never will be.
I have four grown children and am GiGi to two grandchildren. When I am not writing stories or skits, creating bible studies, leading small groups, designing stages, leading worship or preaching, you can find me working at the charming boutique in town where I indulge my passion for fashion, home decor and solving the world’s problems with the kind ladies who shop local.
I write what I love to read, emotional stories with flawed characters changed by truth and grace who risk their hearts and sometimes their lives for love.
I’d love to hear from you and I welcome your questions and comments. You can drop me a line via the form on my Contact Page, and if you’re interested, sign up for my newsletter, a by-weekly peek into what I am learning about writing and life. Thank you for your interest and support.
